Before your first visit.
What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy helps people move better, feel stronger, and live with less pain. Physiotherapists study the science of movement and learn how to pinpoint an injury's root causes. Treatment may include hands-on therapy, education, exercise, and other evidence-based techniques. Registered physiotherapists are licensed by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and must meet strict standards for education, competency, and professional practice, giving you confidence that you are receiving safe, high-quality care.
What does CAMPT-Certified mean?
CAMPT-Certified physiotherapists (aka FCAMPTs) are Fellows of the Canadian Academy of Manual and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists (CAMPT) who have completed extensive post-graduate education and attained internationally-recognized qualifications in hands-on therapy. This training includes courses, written and practical exams, and mentoring. FCAMPTs have the highest level of orthopaedic manual physiotherapy training in Canada.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No, you don't need a doctor's referral to see me, you can book with me directly. However, some insurance companies do require a doctor's referral in order to provide coverage for physiotherapy services. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm.
What should I wear?
Loose clothing is best. For upper body issues, a tank top or short sleeve shirt is ideal. For lower body, athletic shorts or pants work well.
Do you offer direct billing?
Unfortunately I do not offer direct billing to insurance companies at this time. Payment is due at the time of your appointment, and you will receive a detailed receipt that can be submitted to your insurance plan for reimbursement.
